CURRICULUM VITAE
After graduating from the Faculty of Law of The Aristoteles University of Thessaloniki in 1987, the lawyer attended a course on International Trade Law (April 1998 - June 1998) organized in Turin, Italy by the Turin University Institute of European Studies in collaboration with the International Labour Organisation. The course took place in English. After successful examinations the lawyer was awarded the relevant certificate with grade A (very good). In the period May 30th, 1999 - June 18th, 1999 under scholarship granted by the Aegean Institute of the Law of the Sea and Maritime Law the lawyer attended a seminar on International Maritime Law, organized in Rhodos, Greece, by the Tulane University of Louisiana State (U.S.A.). The seminar took place in English. After successful examinations the lawyer was awarded the relevant certificate. No grades were given.As a result of the attendance of the seminar on German Law organized by the Dr. Grannemann & von Fuerstenberg GmbH in 2002 (Hamburg and Baden-Baden, Germany) the lawyer acquired a very good knowledge of German civil, commercial and penal law together with law governing the profession of the lawyer in Germany.

FOREIGN LANGUAGES - MEMBERSHIPS IN INTERNATIONAL ASSOCIATIONS
Our era is characterized by worldwide communication. This fact together with the overwhelming evolution of technology in every sector of human activity have made our life international in every aspect even though we sometimes do not realize it. Under these circumstances contact with abroad and information on what is happening beyond the boundaries of our country regarding personal and/or professional matters is crucial.The law office of Stefanos A. Akritidis through excellent knowledge of the English and German language (Certificate of Proficiency in English and Grosses Deutsches Sprachdiplom) and very good knowledge of the Italian and Spanish language affirmed by their daily use with its foreign clientele fully covers the need for every action that has to do with abroad as far as Greek clients are concerned or Greece as far as foreigners are concerned.
This is also ensured through membership in various organizations and associations that provide timely and valid information or through cooperation with foreign colleagues where this is necessary. The lawyer is thus member of the International Union of Lawyers, Paris, France since 1996 and has attended the annual congresses of Madrid (1996) and Turin (2001), the Association of International Private Law, Lugano, Switzerland, since 1997, the German - Italian Association of Jurists, Bochum, Germany, since 2002 and the Eurojuris Deutschland e.V., Berlin, Germany, an association of law offices in Germany, a part of the worldwide association Eurojuris International, since 2000.
